Essential Oils class
If anyone is interested, a friend of mine is doing an essential oils class. She'll be teaching about various oils and how they can help in everyday life. There will be giveaways of essential oils as well. It'll be Saturday, March 12 in Orem at 7 pm. PM me if you're interested and I'll give you the address. (And as an added bonus, I'm going! So maybe you'll figure out who I am.
(Cuz my identity is SO HARD to discover.))
Re: Essential Oils class
Oils, let's see...there's canola oil, olive oil, motor oil, oily hair...

Re: Essential Oils class
Just to get a ballpark idea...what kinds of things do people do with essential oils?
Re: Essential Oils class
You can make your own lotions, cremes, salt scrubs, and other things of that sort, for starters. It really all depends on what catches your interest. Some oils are used topically for various treatments, others are more internal, while yet others tend to dance past the medicinal uses and are mostly used for making things smell pretty.

Depends on the oil. You can take them internally, put them on topically, use them in a diffuser or maybe a humidifier (except maybe that's bad for the humidifier? Not sure on that one. I'm not the expert). They're used for EVERYTHING. You can use them to clean with instead of having all sorts of harmful chemicals on hand (many oils are anti-bacterial), you can use them to promote health, to increase your immune system, to stop bleeding, to promote sleep, to wake you up, etc. Lots and lots and lots. I can't say I actually know a lot at all. That's why I'm going to the class. Why I'm excited she's up here to teach a class. (She lives in Arizona.)
Here, you can read more on her blog about essential oils: http://kamisniche.blogspot.com/search/l ... ial%20oils She does a spotlight on a different one every week, I think.

Man, I didn't make it. I've been too sleep-deprived this week and I'm getting up super-early tomorrow. Speaking of which, I go to bed. Happy Daylight Saving Time to you all!
