I agree. It wasn't until I noticed that that I felt comfortable chiming in.Katya wrote:D.A.R.E.'s bio says he's a former writer, so I consider it fair game to guess.Laser Jock wrote:So, just curious...is everyone okay now with trying to publicly reveal/link writers?

To be fair, LJ, no one was "publicly reveal(ed)" as in, no one had their real name identified. So I go with the second option, and I see no problem whatsoever with that.
TL;DR: Publicly reveal? Don't do it. Link to other 'nyms? Fine.

Hm. You're right, his real name wasn't outed, but to me linking 'nyms (unless the writer has already publicly done so) is another thing that's fair game, but not in public.

The real question is: When reading D.A.R.E. should we be thinking black t-shirts advocating drug education, or Noodle dancing around her pad?

You're just worried someone will find out you used to write as Skippy DeLorean.Laser Jock wrote:Hm. You're right, his real name wasn't outed, but to me linking 'nyms (unless the writer has already publicly done so) is another thing that's fair game, but not in public.

People were/are speculating about more than just what he disclosed.Dragon Lady wrote:He already did.

Good catch. My new justification is: Someone else started it! (But if the Mods-that-be think this thread should be deleted, I'm OK with it.)Laser Jock wrote:People were/are speculating about more than just what he disclosed.Dragon Lady wrote:He already did.
Nah, being that self-absorbed wouldn't suit you.Laser Jock wrote:I wish.Katya wrote:You're just worried someone will find out you used to write as Skippy DeLorean. (I'll never tell!)

Haha. I was mostly remembering his legendary confidence with fashion and with the ladies. I don't mind not being self-absorbed, though.Katya wrote:Nah, being that self-absorbed wouldn't suit you.Laser Jock wrote:I wish.Katya wrote:You're just worried someone will find out you used to write as Skippy DeLorean. I only did it cause the writer in question's new profile said to guess, and I didn't know any more than anyone else, I swear.Katya wrote:Good catch. My new justification is: Someone else started it! Still, you may be right, and if the writer in question is offended, I hereby swear to make that writer a baked good. Let me know, oh writer!

He's not offended. He was actually worried that he had done something wrong. (I doubt he was too worried, though.) I sent him the link to this thread and he thought it was great fun. He wasn't actually trying too hard to keep it secret.
