I so completely agree with Queen Alice on this one. I don't have a problem with people asking me about temple garments in general, or with people noticing that I do or don't do certain things that may have religious reasons behind them and asking me about that, but it's really a bit weird for people to ask you why you're wearing a certain kind of underwear. I've been endowed for nearly a decade now, and I've never actually had someone ask me about my garments, although I'm sure that you can see the outline of them sometimes. People probably just assume that the bottoms are Spanx or something and that the tops are just a t-shirt for layering or whatever. Now if someone who I was really close to asked me about it, that's different. That has happened - my sister-in-law, for example, has asked me about some of the logistics of it, like do they come in different fabrics and where do I buy them and that sort of thing, just because she's interested and she wants to understand my religion. That's fine. But if someone I didn't know well enough for them to know I was an endowed member of the church asked me why I was wearing shorts under my skirt? I don't think I would be like, "Well, that's actually my religious underwear and let me bear my testimony to you." If people are comfortable doing that, more power to them, but I just think that's getting a little personal.

A girl in one of my classes (not at BYU, and not in Utah either) asked me if I wear the "magic underwear". I just said, "yep! sure do!"
