I just spent about 3 hours cleaning my toilet bowl. It used to have a top layer of clear plastic, which probably made it look nice and shiny back in 1952 or whatever, but it's since worn unevenly and faded yellow, making it look perpetually like it hasn't been cleaned for years. So I applied my chemistry knowledge and made some solutions, then scraped it with a butter knife for a few hours. It still looks nasty, but it's lightyears better than it was before.

yeah, I think it would mostly be from things like international stores that have been on the shelf for years, and even then a store selling and infected (?) product would likely get a visit from the FDA. But still... check the lid for cocoon stuff if you get some jam from a little blind lady... just saying.

So I was getting annoyed with my old computer and debating buying a new one. The desision was made for me when my hard drive crashed yesterday. I'd had so many issues with my old computer that I didn't feel like dealing with taking it to a shop, when I could get a new computer for about the same price.

Every time I sleep in past 9:00 or so, I get this feeling in the back of my head that I've just done something horrible. My subconscious, obviously, is an idiot sometimes.

I do that too, yayfulness. I spent all morning feeling anxious because I didn't get up until 9:30.

Weirdos. I spent all summer tutoring 8 AM students 4 days a week, and promptly crashed for a nap nearly every day. I feel anxious if I DON'T get to sleep till 10:30 or so, which is my natural wake-up time. I woke up a few days in a row at 5 AM mountain time last month, so I can do it, but I hate it.

I slept in until 12:15 today and missed the pride parade. :(

Oh, believe me, I did not say that I like getting up early. My conscious and my subconscious have very different opinions.

I really prefer getting up early. My only problem is that the two people I hang out with every day are both night owls - one thinks 11-12 is a good time to go to bed, and the other is often up until one or later.

I'm adjustable. Right now I'm a night person because of my job, and 2-10 feels right. A few months ago, I was perfectly happy sleeping 10-6. I'm a freak like that. However, if left to my natural devices I would have a pretty normal sleep schedule, like 11-7 or something.

I hate people like you.

I'm a total night owl, but every single job or school schedule I've ever had has required me to wake up before 7 am.

I've made the deliberate decision to either work or have class at 8 most days. (Sundays are the huge exception, with church after noon.) Before my mission, at least, my natural cycle if I had no time commitments (or if I ignored them) was sleeping from 4 to noon.

I think my natural cycle is probably from 1 or 2am to about 9 to 10am. If I could have every day be like that, I would love it.

My cycle is kind of whenever I want to sleep until about 8:00 or so. Sometimes earlier. Never later. Although I'm not opposed to lounging in bed, reading, until about 8:45.

Speaking of sleep cycles, all I know is that (1) I always have a hard time falling asleep with very few exceptions no matter the time, and (2) if I need to wake up for anything before about 10 a.m., I have a terrible time sleeping. Case in point: I have T/Th class at 9:30, and today and last week I keep tossing and turning all night, barely sleeping, until 7:50, which is a few minutes before my alarm. TBH, sleep and I have a very conflicted relationship. :(

That sounds like me. Sleep just hates me. Last night, I woke up several times per hour. Eventually, I just decided it was close enough to morning, and I got up and showered and went on the Board.

My roommates are like, "Wow, you wake up so early!" And I'm just like, "It might be more accurate to say I stayed up really late."

Removed my +1 of Cee Lo Green's "F*** You" because a) I didn't know I had done that? b) I feared for my professionalism. Note to self: the person with whom I am exchanging emails for this job said "what is this f***ery?" on her Twitter.
