Anyone want poorly crocheted scarves? I've been making them in my downtime at work and soon will have more than I will get around to wearing all winter long... I'll send em to you for the price of a skein of yarn!

I'm surprised by the large number and variety of traits with which researchers have found correlations with the ratio of one's index finger to one's ring finger. Multiple correlations in the categories of physiology and disease, psychological disorders, physical and competitive behavior, cognition and personality, management, sensory perception, sexual orientation, transsexualism, and human development and growth. Some of these may be pure bunk, of course.

I also learned something that changed a long-held assumption of mine tonight. Apparently, Morton's toe (second toe being longer than big toe) is prevalent in less than 20% of the population. I have such a toe, my wife has such a toe. I thought it was the norm. Guess given my 'nym I should have known about these sorts of things :)

I was under the impression that you were no longer at BYU. Also, that you weren't on a mission. Also, that you didn't play up your "mormon-ness." If all of these are true, it really doesn't matter what you do, there's little chance of any blowback.
I. I'm not, but that doesn't mean that a) I never will be b) that they don't have my transcripts. II. I'm not, & won't be. III. I don't, but I'm not cheap or unrefined, either. And don't underestimate my extremely nosey, close-knit, image-conscious family.

My fingers are exactly the same. What does that say about me?

It looks like all the listed traits are associated with a high ratio, so take the opposite of everything listed there (with a grain of salt, of course).

I very thoroughly agree. It's the chaos that I fight on a daily basis.

And I didn't even notice that it was titled "ADD" until later. I figured it was just talking about the inherent nature of life.

It's possible for an institution to deny you a diploma if you haven't graduated yet (as was the case with Mr. Hardy), but I don't think they can punitively withhold your transcripts.

Interesting. Here's a hypothesis that seems to actually explain the reason for variation in digit ratio.
independent.co.uk wrote:The ratio between index and ring finger is believed to be linked to exposure to the male hormone testosterone in the womb. On average, men tend to have longer ring fingers and women longer index fingers. The higher the testosterone, the greater the length of the ring finger and the more "masculine" the resulting child – whether male or female. The longest ring finger is known as the "Casanova pattern".
I never noticed women having longer index fingers than ring fingers before.

I don't. (That must be why I'm so manly.)

They have now torn down both of the houses between my house and the mall. They're still working today and dust is all over the place. I had to come downstairs so I could breathe again.
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

I started a full-time job with somewhat odd hours (11 AM to 7 PM), I have two other interviews in the works, I'm trying to jump back into school, and I have several different options for my day off this Saturday with the rivalry game (one work, others leisure). AhAhaHahhhh! Feeling really on-edge.

Unless you meant ring finger, no. Longer index finger is indication of femininity. Or less testosterone.

Mine are of a size. Well, maybe my ring finger is longer. And I do hate shopping...

Guess I'm super hung. (And Korean. For that my mother will be pleased.) I DO have an unusually high sex drive ... maybe my noticeably longer ring finger is trying to tell me something? ^_~
