My brother and I always say this to our younger sister. We'll be having a fast-paced, intellectual, adult conversation, and my baby sister will insert a non sequitur. It's become family tradition to say, "Do you need some attention, 'Nerissa'?"Zedability wrote:I was hanging out with El Córazon Sólo (his questions should post in a day or two), and the following conversation ensued after I kept talking while he was trying to study:
"Do you need attention right now, [Zed]?"
"...maybe..."

Uhoh, Zed, this is how it begins, just hanging out. Soon you'll be submitting a question like "How do I tell my mish that I'm engaged to someone else without distracting him from his work?"
Go write a letter, quick!

We've discussed this and she seems to take the Clinton approach: deny, deny deny.S.A.M. wrote:Uhoh, Zed, this is how it begins, just hanging out. Soon you'll be submitting a question like "How do I tell my mish that I'm engaged to someone else without distracting him from his work?"

Hahaha. His 'nym has nothing to do with me. Well, it does in the sense that I'm in the large group of "girls I'm uninterested in". But neither of us feel more than friendship. Besides, he's 18.

Get her on a mission, quick! Then she'll be safe from those 18 year old, marriage hungry BYU freshman boys!

(Hey, you'd be surprised. A barely-nineteen-year-old guy laid his cards on his table . . . the day of his mission farewell. (Which story I have shared with Zed.) My pre-mish boyfriend my second summer at BYU essentially proposed, too, and we were both 18.)

You guys are great
He feels being single very keenly, but not in a desperate way. (He has no reason to be desperate; he usually has a list of like 10 girls who are interested in him at any given time). It's kind of like he misses his wife, even though he hasn't met her yet. I think he misses her at least as much as I miss M. And we both see qualities in each other that we know will probably be in whoever we end up with, but we also see that we're not everything we want in whoever we do end up with. So as a result, we're mutually friendzoned and we just spend time together being lonely. Haha. (Really though, it is a nice friendship because we understand how the other feels.)

$25,000 size-24 shoe? Come on. That's got to be mostly markup. But the little reporter lady holding the shoe as big as her torso at about 1:38 is funny.

Who needs boys when I have the perfect schedule (12-4 M-Th), a job waiting for me, and am applying for summer internships in the Big City? Not to mention I'm feeling quite skinny, which lends an aura of righteousness to my indignation.Imogen wrote:boooooo to boys. that's why none were invited to my birthday dinner.Portia wrote:I'm 24.75, and I'm single!
