Romanian orphanage volunteer abroad

Post by Portia »

To address that specific part of her question, she should at the very least take the Romanian 101 class that the volunteers have to take (listed under FLANG) because it is the most amazing thing in this universe. It was hands down the most fun, the most enlightening, the most awesome course I ever took (by no means easy: it was intermediate levels of brainpower and homework).

Since Portia made a thread, I don't feel bad just expressing my opinion. That girl should go! Or, if not to Romania for three months, she should go do something on her own to fulfill some of her dreams/passions. This is the time! And I'm only a little biased insomuch as I plan on going on at least one extended trip by myself this summer to pursue my own interests. It happens, and it's okay. :)

YEAH MICO
I felt bad saying that she should go and toned my original answer down in my Board answer... but honestly, if I were her I would go. If I were her I would not feel bad about going, either. IF I WERE HER I WOULD GO AND ENJOY IT IMMENSELY.

I have Feelings about this. Apparently.
