Yes, because he used logic to trick me into realizing that we were engaged, and then very patiently explained the whole thing.

First he got me to admit that I wanted to marry him. Then he was all, so could I say we're engaged? And I was like, what? No! But then he pointed out that if he was planning on marrying me, and I was planning on marrying him, technically that meant we were engaged, so I had to cede the point.

My boyfriend is moderately familiar with Avatar: The Last Airbender and a couple episodes of The Legend of Korra and while I was talking to him about the show, he accidentally caught a glimpse of a major spoiler on the Avatar wiki. I then proceeded to tell him all sorts of truths and lies in an attempt to overload his brain so he wouldn't remember whether the spoiler he saw was true or not. It didn't work, but I look forward to seeing his face when he realizes certain things I told him are actually canon.
