I would personally consider a desire to clean a sign of insanity. But to each their own.

I want to organize my whole house!

Reflecting a new understanding of many mental illnesses, the proposed organization for the newest edition of the "bible" of psychiatry is now open for public comment at dsm5.org.
Though that article was from May of 2011 and the thing's coming out in 2013, so maybe your window has come and gone.

I wonder if they'll ever add Nevernudeism to the "Bible". #WatchingArrestedDevelopment

Random story of the night:
I went to FHE, and was waiting there by myself, when this girl with whom I'm friends with walks up with this guy. And I look at this guy, and he looks at me, and we're both like "We know each other's names." And we both felt like we had been friends in the past, but I couldn't remember anything about him, and he couldn't remember anything about me. But we both were 100% convinced that we knew each other. And then the girl had to leave, so I ended up giving him a ride home, and we talked for like 20 minutes about where we could possibly know each other from, but could NOT come up with it. Be we both were sure we were friends. And so now we're friends again. Or maybe not again, because even though we knew each other, we're not sure we know each other. Y'know?

You know, I always have the opposite problem. I am horrible at remembering names, but better at remembering a category of where I know that person from.Giovanni Schwartz wrote:Random story of the night:

Usually I'm really good at that, too, but tonight it was like "Oh hey, you're smart, and I know your name." And "Oh hey, I think we have a mutual friend or something and thus I know your name."
Re: Happy Days in Random Chatter 10
There are a lot of stray cats in our neighborhood, and most of our garages, though closed off to the outside, have walls made of spare boards between each other, so once a cat got in one garage it could easily hop two or three garages down. Yesterday we noticed muddy paw prints going up and sliding down down the windshield of our car. Then we noticed a big glop of cat poop on the garage floor. As I had my hands full of kids, I did not clean it up at the time, and I forgot about it. Tonight I cleaned it up, by accident, with the bottom of my shoe.
That's all.
That's all.

I come in a basement door at nights to a small room with no lights on, and one day I turned on the light to find that I had luckily stepped over the pile of poop in the middle of the walkway.
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

I have mild face blindness. I'm more prone to episodes like, "I asked you to dance six times, and I sit behind you in choir every single day, and I know you in all these ways, how do you not recognize me?!" "...sorry."TheAnswerIs42 wrote:You know, I always have the opposite problem. That moment when you realize you answered 18 board questions instead of studying for finals
Re: Happy Days in Random Chatter 10
Well, my graduation has now been pushed back (and perhaps my career eligibility along with it) to June. I feel like an idiot. Where's your 99th percentile on standardized testing get you now, Portia?!

I ask myself this question on almost a daily basis.Portia wrote:Where's your 99th percentile on standardized testing get you now?!

Well, I do get to perpetuate the system and groom up-and-coming high school juniors to take a meaningless, narrow exam, for fun and profit! So they too can forget to go click a virtual box a few weeks too late.Emiliana wrote:I ask myself this question on almost a daily basis.Portia wrote:Where's your 99th percentile on standardized testing get you now?!

My aunt has four little dogs, and it looks like both the gates in the living room and the basement door were left open, so they were able to come downstairs for a while.NerdGirl wrote:Whose poop was it???bobtheenchantedone wrote:I come in a basement door at nights to a small room with no lights on, and one day I turned on the light to find that I had luckily stepped over the pile of poop in the middle of the walkway.

If you go west from campus for long enough, you'll hit mountains. And I'm sure the communities of lake Tahoe have beautiful lights.

That is, of course, east of campus. Mountains=east.
