Am I the only one that loved one hour breaks? LOVED. That was when I got most of my homework done. If I had a longer break, I would end up wasting my time, but when I had one hour, it was time to crank out the assignments. Back to back didn't give me time to breathe and be ready for the next class.

Yeah, I'm with you, 42.
Re: Scheduling
I believe my schedule is like that this next semester. Good! I will need to really be on top of homework this time 'round.
Re: Scheduling
Ditto. 1 hour was perfect for doing homework (assuming it was homework I could easily do on campus—I always wrote papers better at home). 2 hours was too long, unless I was eating lunch somewhere in there.TheAnswerIs42 wrote:Am I the only one that loved one hour breaks? For some reason, this discussion reminded me of the Jevons paradox, though it's not an instance of it. What the Jevons paradox states is "technological progress that increases the efficiency with which a resource is used tends to increase (rather than decrease) the rate of consumption of that resource." While what you seem to be saying is that more resource (time) past a certain point makes you less efficient.

Re: Scheduling
The break between ALL of my classes is 40 minutes this semester. And it's perfect. I don't have to run across campus to get to classes on time, and I still can get whatever seat I want (the second row, center section, on an end). Or, if I have to, I can slam down some lunch between classes and still make it on time.
