That was really interesting! Thanks for sharing. I don't generally like clips like that because they talk SO DARN FAST, but it was worth it. :) I think defining "hipster" has gotten harder since the "hipster" culture has actually become somewhat mainstream in the last couple years (if that even makes sense). Anyway, so interesting.

I would say me, but if it was cool, I probably never got it.

Except for technology. I am a technology hipster.

Which averages me out to normal.

On a totally unrelated note, where does everyone keep their fingers for resting position while we type? Are we all home row touch typers? Because I'm emphatically not. I've noticed that from right to left, my fingers kind of go

left pinkie: A
left ring: between w and e, but closer to w
left middle: between e and r
left pointer: between t and g
left thumb: space bar, right below v.
right thumb: floats in space and is underused.
right pointer: between j and m
right middle: mostly on i
right ring: rests on o/p in position 1--rotates to the " in position 2
right pinkie: rests on ' in position 1--rotates to right shift in position 2

I always hit shift with my right pinkie, and I always hit the space bar with my left thumb. My left hand does the majority of the typing. It extends all the way over to the y, h, and b, leaving my right hand a paltry 8 letters in comparison.

Actually, I think that I'm really unique. And enjoy it. I'm going to submit this to the board as a question. Although I still hope to hear what everyone else has to say.

My right hand's home row, my left hand is different...

pinkie: a
ring:right side of s
middle: right side of d
pointer: v

but that's just right now when I noticed. even now when I'm sitting here thinking about typing my right pointer finger migrates to m.

Home keys for me, except my left pinky hangs out between the a and z sometimes.

The rest of Idea Channels videos are pretty awesome too--worth taking a look at.

And I'm home row as well.

Did you know that the SSA has a baby name website?

I've decided (tentatively) that all of my children will have a name between 200-400 for at least the last five years. If it's not on the list, fuggedaboudit.

My favorite girls' name is in that range, hooray! My favorite male names, no so much. 50-150 for one, top 5 for another.

My name has been in the top 20 since 1987; no wonder there's so many of us!

I think I'm about to tackle the bathroom. I'm trying to talk myself into it, but I'm really scared, on account of the mold and grime of who knows how many girls. grosssss this is why cleaning checks aren't bad. neither are people who actually clean up after themselves before they move out, but that's TOTALLY IRRELEVANT.

Dude... Try a missionary apartment.

I walked in to probably 15 bags of trash just sitting by the fridge. And one day, decided I'd had enough. So we gave them to our neighbor, and then our house started to get marginally clean. Alternatively, there was the time we were deep cleaning, and I went to clean the top of a cabinet that I thought was supposed to be black. It was actually a pastel yellowish green color underneath all the grime.

Why don't they make t-shirt bras in large cup sizes and/or small band sizes? It's like, sure, if you're a 40B you can have a bra that doesn't show through every t-shirt ever, but if you're like a 32D you must be so promiscuous that you just want to wear lingerie ALL THE TIME.

I really dislike calling people. I'm responsible for calling about thirty people to tell them about an upcoming event and I can't bring myself to do it. And...it has to get done today...

I've had similar issues. PM me if you want details on a workaround.
