How do I get my signature to be at the bottom of my post instead of leaving a whole bunch of space at the end? I already tried deleting stuff after my signature at the place where you type in your signature, but there wasn't any empty space to delete.....

As far as I know, all you can do is not have an avatar. Your post has to be at least that long (your name, avatar, and information) and if there's not enough actual post to fill it you'll have empty space.
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

Write longer posts. If you notice on the left, where you've got your avatar and all the other information about you that we get, that is a static size. You can't get any smaller than that. So if the text of your post isn't long enough to at least cover that space, the extra space will of necessity come at the bottom, after your signature.

This has not been tested. It's just what I think is right. Someone can correct me.

Sorry- two questions at once here: please don't take this as criticism because it's not meant to be. Are questions piling up? I have one that's 10 days old. What does the Board do when tons of questions need to be answered?

Ten days is nothing. I have one that I asked on December 4th that still hasn't been answered. *pointed look at yayfulness*

A few writers have disappeared and left incomplete answers behind, and they can't post the questions with incomplete answers. And the editors feel bad about deleting answers, apparently. So we have a lot of overdue questions right now.

Whistler, your B+ made me feel better because we are from similar academic backgrounds. But then I went to class today and took the test and realized how clueless I am, and that in order to really know what's going on I would have to teach myself the basics and then learn what we are doing in class. ugh. Not worth the effort at this time, you know? Oh well.

Do you ever work with someone and wonder how the heck they got the education to qualify for the job, let alone last this long in an office without being let go?

did you end up dropping the class then? It's discouraging, but maybe your life will be easier this way.

Valentine's is on a Thursday this year, and I realized that I have such a full day of work, classes, and commuting, that any celebrations will have to be observed that weekend. I am somewhat relieved as I feel that my relationship has reached the point where this could be a Big Deal and I don't want it to be.

I didn't care about Valentine's until last year. I'm interested to see how I feel about it this year.

My coworker in the library had The Board open on her browser this morning. I was oddly gleeful.

Is there an equivalent of Pretty Pretty Princess marketed to boys?

Yeah, that's exactly what I thought as well. It's not required and it's not as focused on linguistics as I hoped, so while it would be interesting, it's not really worth it.

krebscout - I don't know, but I do know that in middle school on the last day of classes a bunch of the boys brought Pretty Pretty Princesses to play. It was pretty funny, and I think they were enjoying it unironically (even if they brought it ironically).

we played "in the manner of the adverb" the other night and one of the adverbs we chose was "ironically." it was hard, but probably not helped along by the fact people kept acting "coincidentally" instead.
