Engaged--Accidentally
Engaged--Accidentally
So, in the past two months, I've ended up engaged to three different guys. All of them have been jokes, but I'm just wondering, am I the only one that this happens to?
The only way I'll be able to tell if it's serious now is if he proposes before we get engaged. (None of them proposed before I was engaged to them...)

Maybe? I've been proposed to several times as a joke. I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing though.
Re: Engaged--Accidentally
First scenario: A group of friends got separated from a few of us. When they caught up with us, they asked if they missed anything. One friend remarked that I and another and I had gotten engaged.
Second scenario: Guy 2 mentioned that he and I were engaged to a group of friends during a Google Hangout (related conversation).
Third scenario: Guy 3 jokingly holds my hand (for a social experiment?) and when our third friend returns, he mentions he has something to say, friend assumes engagement, he agrees.

Um, how did you become engaged without a proposition and an acceptance?Tally M. wrote:None of them proposed before I was engaged to them...

Haha. Both of mine were jokes on the Board or the Boardboard. I wrote to M and was like, so, technically I've been proposed to twice and you're still in the MTC. He thought that was pretty funny.

@Sam: Y'know, I'm not entirely sure...
@Zed: Well, it doesn't hurt to practice, right?

I'm not sure if I like it or not...makes for funny stories though.
Re: Engaged--Accidentally
But no, I've never been engaged, even fake-engaged.

Re: Engaged--Accidentally
I have several different wives. Some of them are married to other people. I've never been engaged.
I have been proposed to/proposed to people before, but none of those people are my wives.

Gio, I think your relationship status sounds more complicated than mine...

Star Trek has some amusing fictional races. From the Memory Alpha article on Denobulans:
Smiling indeed...Denobulans were typically polyamorous, where a man typically had three wives, who each had three husbands. This created extremely large extended families; Phlox had 720 familial relationships, 42 with sexual possibilities.

I feel like that should be Gio's new photo...
