Goodbye

Post by Zedability »

Goodbye everyone! I'll miss you all! I have approximately 22.5 hours until I'm set apart, so I thought I'd say this now.

Zed, I barely got to know you--and I really only did that through your answers on the Board. But I hope that we can be friends when you come back! Cause apparently Portia says I remind her of you...so, we could be friends =P

Enjoy your mission =)

Bye, Zed! You'll have such a wonderful time on your mission! Of course, it'll be different than the Board, but I am positive that your Sacrament meeting talks will be absolutely stellar! Just to let you know-- I'm pretty much in awe of you. <3 8-)

Have fun!!! I'm not sure when you actually will end up in Halifax, or if you'll actually be in the city of Halifax at all since it's a fairly large mission, but I'm going to Halifax for a 2 week emergency medicine elective at the beginning of May, and I might show up at either the Halifax first ward or the YSA branch on those Sundays if I'm not working. So if you happen to meet a med student from Calgary named Kathleen, that's me. :) I would give you a list of cool things to check out in Halifax, but the members will tell you anyway, and pretty much everything there is to do or see in Halifax would be on said list. One thing I will mention, though, is that people in NS think that nachos are supposed to have pineapple on them, so if you go somewhere and order nachos, there will probably be pineapple on them along with the more traditional nacho toppings. So if you don't like pineapple (fortunately I do), ask for no pineapple on your nachos. :)

NerdGirl, do the large chain places where nachos are to be found like Taco Bell (if Taco Bell is there) follow along? From visiting the Philippines, I remember spaghetti (a very sweetened version of spaghetti), fried chicken, and rice all being available at McDonald's restaurants. A wrapped wad of rice pretty much taking the place of fries.

Edit: Ha. "What's your flavour today?" made me smile.

Zedability,

Have a great time! You are amazing! Heh, you'll still be like a board writer, just answering different questions, and live, and in person!

Taco Bell doesn't put pineapple on its nachos. And there are only like 2 Taco Bells in the entire Halifax Metro area. But McDonalds has a McLobster sandwich in the spring and summer, and I think Subway also has some kind of lobster sub.

I shouldn't be hard to stalk. How many 19-year-old Canadians majoring in science are leaving for Halifax in March?

You guys and your *ways* of finding people. (that I do not have) :)
I'd send a letter, too, if that's not weird. My 4 year old loves missionaries, so he'd even send a picture of a rocket or monster or whatever his new thing might be at the time.
