I'm sorry ma'am, I'm going to have to issue you a hypercorrection citation. I'd let you off with a warning, but I've found it's better for prescriptivists not to be let off so easily. You can always ask the judge to waive the fine in favor of doing some grammar-related community service. Have a good day and watch those pronouns. 8-)

Not to mention filling up a random thread with one continuous discussion. I was going to cite you on improper use of a random thread, but seeing as how you're already working off one infraction, I'll let you go easy. Just watch the non-randomness.

I vote pronouns follow French rules and the "m" is necessarily because it's followed by a vowel. ;)

That reminds me of how I found it interesting years ago when taking a French class how a t came out of nowhere when saying is there ... "y-a-t-il ..."

To randomize, did anyone else see an episode of Top Gear yesterday in which a little Yugo-looking thing that was painted to look like a space shuttle complete with two booster rockets and a big orange fuel tank shot into the air, but the fuel tank didn't separate and the shuttle & tank went boom? That was neat! :)

Wait, is that the three-wheeled car? Because if so, that's an old one! (But still good.)

Yes, three-wheeled. Looks like the car was a model known as Reliant Robin (video to the launch on their site). I've never really watched that show but found that rerun while channel-flipping yesterday. Maybe I'll become a watcher now.

Oh man, there are so many good bits. Check out the fox hunting or the soccer game or the double-decker cars or the police cars or the lorry race for some good clips.

My roommates don't clean. And I don't like cooking when my kitchen is messy.

The good news is that I may have found out a major cause of my shop's income dropping by half starting in January. The bad news is that to fix it will require a major shop overhaul, and that might not even fully solve the problem!

Sort of. Etsy's taken to buying ad space from Google Shopping on behalf of shop owners, and I found out that my hits from those referrals dropped by half in January and by now have dropped by half again. This could be due to having titles and descriptions that are in various ways inappropriate and which I'm working on. It also could be due to Google no longer directly sending people to my shop when they click on my listing after searching, which I can do nothing about as that's Google's decision. : /

Interesting. According to Blogger stats, my blog has been viewed in Russia more than in any of the other countries combined. Still microscopic stats:
Russia 11
USA 5
Germany 2
India 2
Ukraine 1

I've been mulling on this all day. (Hahaha.) Is it "who" because you could say I hope he applies, not I hope him applies?
