J. K. Rowling's pseudonymous detective novel The Cuckoo's Calling (by Robert Galbraith) is surprisingly very good (surprising because I didn't like her other 'adult' novel, The Casual Vacancy, so I assumed I would dislike this book as well). I highly recommend it, even if detective fiction isn't your usual thing (it's not my usual thing).

While we're objectifying people, this was a funny post in honor of World Beard Day (which apparently was this past Saturday). I hope Marduk & any other bearded boardies celebrated appropriately and sexy modest and all that.
