- 1. His questions in class were usually pedantic and intelligence-insulting; and when no one would answer them he would get peevish and answer them for us.
2. He would preach as core doctrine several things which were opinion (admittedly, though, this is a weakness most of the religion professors struggle with; and no, Rating Pending, I'm not "that guy"—I just groan inwardly and dismiss them as a good source of spiritual knowledge).
3. He would make us turn in Scripture journals (I hate this practice because- A. they never get returned
B. I don't like being forced to share my spiritual insights—especially with someone I don't feel merits them).

Thankfully I avoided all dilation and curettage courses while at BYU...
For Doctrine and Covenants, I had Alex Baugh. He was good and had a ton of cool pictures he took at church history sites. Sadly he doesn't publish his slides. He came of as pretty arrogant and his tests were supposedly hard (never had trouble myself), but I took a second course from him.
