Random soda machines?
Question 62771. I asked it and was intrigued by the idea of a soda machine with a "Do you feel lucky" button. I've never seen anything like that, have never headed for a soda machine without knowing what I wanted (or having a pretty good idea...I've probably changed my mind on the spot before as I stood at the machine), and often I can't say I'd be equally happy with every option available. Is that button used a lot? As someone who doesn't want to be surprised as far as getting a soda is concerned, am I in the minority?

That particular Shasta machine has been the source of many late night quote wall conversations.
And to answer your question, a lot of times when I want a soda i can't decide. I'm not very picky, so I don't mind the button, and if it is present, it saves me some time.

Not being a Mountain Dew/Rush fan, I would not use the button again for personal beverage selection.

Re: Random soda machines?
Someone in our neighborhood has a soda machine on their driveway, and I spent many a dollar there in my past. They had a "lucky" button which I would frequently choose, sometimes three or four times in one trip (I usually returned home with half a dozen sodas). However, they knew their customer base, and the "lucky" button assured us that none of the sodas behind it were caffeinated.
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

I don't think I've ever seen a button like that. How can I find one?

You are in Provo, right? The Macey's grocery store across from DI on state street has a shasta machine with a lucky button.
