We'll eat, drink, and be merry (Postponed)

Post by bobtheenchantedone »

Hey everyone! 'S about time for another one of those boardboard party things. As usual, Marduk and I will host, so there will be lots of delicious food (exact menu not yet decided).

If you want and are able to come, please let us know which night would work best for you.

I said the 12, but really whenever is fine. Saturday is the only evening I'm guaranteed not to be working, but can probably make it work whenever you decide to have this shindig.

Basically evenings are good. I might not be there the 19th because I planned to head up for a wedding that weekend. So I guess the 12th is best. Or any evening, really.

I voted for the 19th, though now that I think on it, either is probably fine so long as it's after 5 (on the 12th) and I can leave by 7:30 (both nights) since we have to deal with bedtimes. If the times don't work, I shall gracefully bow out. Don't plan around me.

I had thought about having a barbeque (and doing everything from scratch, as that's something I've wanted to do for a while now) and if that is the case, it would be easier to do it in the afternoon. So starting around five or six was my intention anyways.

Hmm. I could come for a little while if it started at five. And had a ride, maybe. Depending on where it would be.

Rides can be arranged. It's sounding like the 12th is the best day, then?

The 12th is my super awesome (or at least mildly interesting...maybe) birthday dinner, but I'm free on the 15th.

Do you mean 19th, chilly? Also, I was apparently too hasty, because when I actually counted we had even votes for both days. Chilly's vote means we now favor the 19th.

I'm going to be in AZ, but there is a slight, slight chance I'll be in Utah the 19th. So that's my vote.

Matinée parties are best for me since I'm in SL County. I've been missing my Bordeaux and Boardettes!

So I may have to be a little late if it is on the 19th, as the other data processor at work will be out of town, but I shouldn't be at work later than 5 or 5:30.

So... Are we thinking the 19th? Cuz I have potential plans for the 12th that I'd like to confirm or reschedule.

The 12th is definitely out. It will either be the 19th or (pending some up-in-the-air travel plans) post-poned until next month. I'll let you guys know when I know, but for now plan on the 19th.

Well folks, the up-in-the-air travel plans (that we didn't really know about until yesterday) have solidified, and we're leaving on Friday. So the party will have to be moved to next month. I'll update this thread/start a new one when we get back.

I almost never come on theboardboard, but I'm willing to party it up if somebody can email me the details once there are details (I'm so demanding, aren't I?).

We'd be glad to have you! You can PM me your email address if you'd like, or if there's someone you already know here they can email you.
