Walk-in advising

Post by Giovanni Schwartz »

At ASU (I'm not sure about that Mormon school), each of the colleges has walk-in advising hours, where you can spend 5-10 minutes with an adviser to ask any questions you may have regarding your progress in the school, etc. It's also the only way for non-that-college students to meet with their an adviser in that school.

So I went to the language school's walk-in advising hours today. I got there right as they started, but apparently they actually start BEFORE that time window, and you can sign in whenever the freak you want. So I signed in anyways, and there were about 6 people ahead of me on the list. I figured it would go fast, right?

WRONG. Of course. Why else would I be ranting?

After an hour, there were still six people ahead of me on the list (and there were at LEAST two, possibly more, advisers working it). I gave up and went home. Because who the freak wants to wait around for two+ hours? Not me. So much for the 5-10 minute rule, eh?

Grrrrrr...
