How do you make your work more fulfilling without getting an entirely new job?

My level of satisfaction depends pretty heavily on my level of responsibility. If I'm just doing other people's projects, things get very dull very quickly. Taking the lead on something, even something small and insignificant, tends to help me quite a bit.

@digit will that help or hurt my throbbing imposter syndrome?

@yayfulness interestingly over the past year I've been happiest when working on well defined projects from other people. Right now I have none of that and am making up work basically for my team... Taking on a role I don't like. But!! I should try to focus on some aspect and do it well, at least.
