"Lame" is probably the nicest way to describe it... it just looks... sad.
My college has had a Quidditch team for about 3 years. It's actually a lot of fun to watch, it's more fun than regular sports (Marduk), and no one I know has ever gotten hit by a broom, though I have plenty of friends who have gotten hit by balls in "real" sports that have been SEVERELY injured them (like my friend who got hit in the face with a baseball so hard that it BROKE HIS FACE).

Sorry, I'm very protective of this sport because we were one of the first colleges to play it, and it was a lot of fun. And nothing you do in life comes without risk. I don't think people should play football because of the increase in brain injuries and it looks like a sad sport to me.

but more importantly, my dog needs to stop waking me up at 6:30am during my summer break!!!!! i get it, you have poops! I WANT TO SLEEP TINY DOG!

My family used to have a Harry Potter Party every summer, and every year we had a new way to play Quidditch. One year it was a tabletop game. I think another year it was trivia. One year we did it int the pool, another on the trampoline.

the silliness of it, and i have yet to see a player be rude to other teams. plus, the brooms are hilarious. there's something really amusing watching people holding a broom and trying to throw a ball and find the human size snitch. seriously. you should check out a game.

I've seen it. I think "silliness" just about captures it. I think I'm far too competitive to enjoy it.

I actually think it would be really fun to watch. I just wouldn't be coordinated enough to do it without poking someone's eye out.

Dragon Baby is finally starting to adjust to living at Grandma's house and (slowly) starting to sleep better! Unfortunately, we have to switch her bedrooms in less than a week... Hope that doesn't cause a relapse. We've all been short of sleep the last week.

yeah, sort of. he sent me a text to tell me that said "I... uh.... kind [sic] got married last night" to which I responded that he better call me. So we talked a little bit. I'm happy with the girl he chose, just not so happy with the eloping.

In other news I got contacts today.

I know, right?

(Even though it's actually the admins that exterminate.)

Well, "Get 'em, mods!" sounds better than "Get 'em, admins!" Yellow suggests, "Get 'em, adms!" (pronounced like adams)

ALSO, I bought a maternity swimming suit today AND I DON'T HATE IT! I'm actually a tiny bit excited about it. (But only a tiny bit. Because despite being the most modest swimsuit I've found by far, it still shows a little bit of cleavage and I don't normally buy stuff like this. But I feel like I have no choice. Dear Big Businesses, here's a hint. Pregnant women don't actually LIKE to show off every bit of skin they have. ESPECIALLY not their thighs. So start selling maternity board shorts or skirts with your maternity tops. Thanks!)

I'd do it if I had the power. I delete the posts, but that's about as much as I can do.

MARDUK QUICK: what do you put in enchiladas? I have a feeling it's not the cream cheese mixture I've had so many times...I'm looking for something a little more authentic. And if you have an answer that involves beef, all the better.

THANKS FRIEND

Ooo! I might be able to answer this one!

Lesse...

His enchiladas are layers of corn tortillas, a red sauce made of chiles, fried potatos, and cotija cheese.

Or another thing is corn tortillas, lightly fried in oil, coated in a green or red sauce, meat inside, rolled up, packed together in a glass dish with more sauce and cheese over the top.

I wonder how wrong Marduk will say I am when he gets here...

Is there anyone more familiar with the software used by this message board who can say if there's a better way of keeping out spam bots? (I.e., is there an upgrade we can install, etc.?)
