Yeah, I appreciated all the answers, as well -- thanks! My situation is likely to be a bit like Genuine's -- Marx's family (esp. his mom) are way hands-on, and my dad is way hands-off. Neither of us have had significant problems with each other's parents yet, but I suspect it's only a matter of time before his mom and I need to have it out about what Marx and I perceive as her lack of boundaries.

Can we also have the ability to "like" the Katya Crest to show if we agree with her or not? Then it could be a game to see if your answer gets more likes than her seal of approval.

I learned to eat with my left hand for this very reason. Meal-time hand-holding!

Also it makes me feel more European.

In the Arab world they pretty uniformly eat with their right hand. I think it has to do with left hand Islamic toilet etiquette and that toilet paper is not to be assumed present outside of western hubs.
