"Has anyone noticed how many girls on campus have eating disorders?"Portia wrote:Striking that there were two opposing consecutive questions about body image and eating disorders. I think all three women (Size Four, Naturally Skinny, and Friend of Naturally Skinny) would be well- served by visiting Women's Services.
This is probably going to come off as slightly insensitive, but I laughed when I read that. Someone who can ask that question with a straight face is not thinking right. Also the whole rest of the question was a fantastic example of making something obvious without actually stating it. I'm legitimately geeking out over how perfect it is.
The Epistler was quite honestly knocked on her ethereal behind by the sheer logic of this.

That's beautiful! (But what does it mean if I approve of the Krest? Is it infinitely recursive?Giovanni Schwartz wrote:I present the Katya Krest, reserved for those answers which Katya approves.

Yep. I was trying to think of animals that represented everything Katya embodies.
Then I realized that was just stupid, and put my favorites on.

Looks good, but could you make it bigger? And maybe add sparklies?Giovanni Schwartz wrote:Yep. I was trying to think of animals that represented everything Katya embodies.

It's got photo evidence, y'all.
(Also, I bought a bag of those delicious snacks at Walmart just the other day. In fact, they were about the only thing I found at that Walmart that day, and I wasn't even looking for them.)

Art Vandelay keeps dropping hints that he's single: http://theboard.byu.edu/questions/70620/ & http://theboard.byu.edu/questions/70604/
Do you think perhaps he wants someone to ask for a dating application?

Haha! It used to be a real dating app, I remember because there was a pop culture part where I didn't know anything. Or maybe it is a false memory. Adorable llama, nonetheless.

I think we need to get some conspiracy theories going about why Art Vandelay removed the app, assuming there used to be a real one there.mic0 wrote:Haha! My theory: he's secretly a CIA agent, and he decided that dating was too dangerous for the girls he dated.
Re: Answers I liked
Does this question seem to suggest he just broke up with someone? That would explain why his application was taken down. If I were dating a board writer I wouldn't want his application around.
That's my conspiracy theory!
Also, I feel weird talking about art's relationship status like this.

I don't even think it's a real llama! It looks like a stuffed animal to me.

My latest question. Thanks Eirene! I hope that waiting comment is something good. Also, I love astronomy so I'm really excited about that one (I'll check out the other one, too, but sometimes medical things makes me feel sick... ^_^').
Re: Answers I liked
I hope there are good comments too! I was sad that I could think of so few blogs that manage to be both academic and interesting, so hopefully some readers have good ideas.mic0 wrote:My latest question. Thanks Eirene!
